Carrie Guest
Polestar Pilates Educator
Carrie is a Pilates Instructor with nearly 20 years experience, a qualified Sports Massage Therapist and holds a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science and Biology. She discovered Pilates while working in a busy sports massage clinic in London and quickly embraced its benefits for strength and injury prevention.
Since completing her Diploma in Professional Pilates with Polestar in 2010, Carrie has continued to expand her expertise with additional training in Pre/Post Natal Pilates, Buff Bones® for Osteoporosis, Cranio-sacral Therapy, and The Oov, a specialist tool. She is also a Senior Educator with Polestar Pilates, training the next generation of Polestar Pilates Instructors.
Carrie has a special interest in injury rehabilitation and improving performance at sport. She thrives on the energy of a group class and brings a mix of creativity and warmth to her teaching with an eagle eye for technical precision in every movement.

Pamela Facundo
Polestar Pilates Educator
Pamela discovered Pilates in 2004 while studying Physiotherapy in Brazil and was drawn to its powerful role in physical rehabilitation. Her interest grew as she saw the benefits in both her clinical and personal settings.
After completing her Physiotherapy degree in 2007, she went on to specialise in Orthopaedics and Traumatology before moving to Sydney in 2008. She continued her education with a Diploma in Fitness and Remedial Massage and in 2010 earned her Professional Diploma in Pilates with Polestar. Pamela is now also a Polestar Educator.
Pamela’s combined skills in Pilates, physiotherapy and massage have given her a deep understanding of the human body. Pamela takes a holistic approach to teaching, with a focus on improving body awareness, posture, flexibility and strength.
She is passionate about helping her clients feel more confident and in control of their bodies.

Paola Raffinetti
Paola’s motivation to truly understand what moves us has shaped her life personally and professionally. She has immersed herself in a wide range of movement modalities, her first love being dance which led her to Pilates.
With over 25 years of experience, Paola is a comprehensively trained Pilates Instructor, Yoga Teacher and Advanced FAMO Fascia Movement Educator. She is also a respected host for FAMO Fascia Training, sharing her expertise with clients and fellow Instructors.
Paola believes that at the intersection of science, movement and knowledge lies the potential for deep self-healing. While Pilates is the foundation of her teaching, the innovative, science-based approach of FAMO Fascia Movement has expanded her understanding of anatomy and the power of the mind-body connection.
Her diverse skill set allows her to tailor each session to individual needs, whether through the subtle work of fascial release, the precision of contemporary Pilates, or a combination of both. Paola’s sessions are engaging and insightful.

Shira Goldstein
Polestar Pilates Senior Mentor
After completing her degree in Sport and Exercise Science, Shira was drawn to the world of movement and physical rehabilitation. She wanted to combine her fitness and health industry experience with a more personalised approach to helping others move with greater ease. In 2013, she completed her Diploma in Professional Pilates with Polestar and later became a Mentor for Polestar students in training.
Shira has a strong background in Rehab Pilates and has worked closely with allied health professionals during her career. Her personal journey with Pilates, following years of sport and postural imbalances, deepened her appreciation for its benefits. With a special interest in women’s health and as a mother of two, Shira is particularly passionate about supporting clients through the pre and post-natal phase of life.
Kind, calm and knowledgeable, Shira takes a holistic approach to her teaching. She empowers clients to restore healthy movement patterns always tailoring her sessions to support long-term wellbeing.

Bev Carter
Polestar Pilates Mentor
Bev has spent 30 years helping people improve their health and wellbeing through her work as a Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer and Life Coach. Her interest in the mind-body connection led her to complete her Diploma in Professional Pilates with Polestar in 2010 and she has continued to expand her expertise through ongoing professional development.
With a deep understanding of how physical activity, sport and ageing affect the body, Bev uses Pilates to support strength, mobility and long-term vitality. Her sessions are informed by both personal experience and a broad base of knowledge, empowering clients to move with confidence and ease.
Bev’s movement background is impressive. She was an elite international gymnast and holds the titles - Australasian and Australian Sport Aerobic Champion. She’s also known for her role as “Blade” on Channel 7’s Gladiators, is the author of Be Your Own Personal Trainer and runs her own wellness business, It’s Time to Shine.
Bev’s warm and caring teaching style is very much client led. She tailors her sessions to how the client feels that day so they leave every session feeling the benefits.

Emma Wilson
Emma discovered Pilates over a decade ago as a way to rebuild her core strength after the birth of her second child. What began as a personal journey soon revealed profound benefits - greater strength, flexibility and control, which inspired her to leave the corporate world and pursue a new path as a Pilates Instructor. She completed her Mat certification in 2015 and Studio certification in 2017 with Polestar Pilates.
Emma brings a thoughtful, informed approach to every session. Her continued professional development includes; Pilates for Runners, Diastasis Recti Recovery™, Chronic Back Pain and The Oov Fundamentals, a specialised tool designed for Pilates.
She is particularly passionate about supporting women through the pre and postnatal stage and has a deep interest in the transformative role breath plays in movement and relaxation.
Emma loves leading dynamic group classes that warm the body and uplift the spirit.
Her inclusive teaching style welcomes clients of all levels and she encourages everyone she works with to take the strength and control they cultivate inside the studio, out into their everyday lives.

Maya Munro
Maya is a movement practitioner who teaches ballet and contemporary dance alongside pilates. She completed her Pilates studio qualification with Polestar in 2022 and her advanced diploma in Elite Performance with Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional year in 2023.
Passionate about staying at the forefront of the latest techniques, Maya recently completed her Oov certification, a highly specialised tool used in Pilates. She has a special interest in end-stage rehabilitation, cervical pathologies and complementary cross-training for athletes.
Maya is a fountain of knowledge about the body and teaches with warmth and empathy. She aims to challenge her clients in new ways each session, helping them progress toward their goals with confidence and consistency.

Lisa Burprich
Lisa’s love of Pilates began after being diagnosed with a chronic back condition more than a decade ago. Through regular practice, her pain disappeared and she became passionate about the transformative power of Pilates. This personal experience inspired her to pursue formal training with Polestar, completing her Mat certification in 2017 and Studio certification in 2023.
Lisa is committed to helping others break free from the pain cycle, to feel stronger and more in control of their bodies. Her teaching is supportive and considered, with a focus on building strength, awareness and resilience through mindful movement.
Lisa continues to expand her skills through professional development, including certifications in; Yin Yoga and The Oov Fundamentals which has deepened her ability to support clients with a wide range of needs.

Sarah Weiner
Polestar Pilates Mentor in Training
With a background in dance, rhythmic gymnastics and cheerleading, movement has always been a significant part of Sarah’s life.
Driven by a desire to encourage others to move and celebrate what their bodies can do, Sarah began her movement training, completing; Barre teaching certification (2016) with Barre Body, and Pilates Mat (2021), Reformer (2022) and Studio (2024) with Polestar. She is currently training to become a Polestar Pilates Mentor where she is excited to support the next generation of Pilates Instructors.
Sarah is committed to creating sessions that are accessible to everyone with a strong focus on good technique and a little bit of fun!

Tanja Kegel
Tanja is deeply passionate about health and wellbeing. Her movement journey began in her early years through regular dance classes, where she developed a strong appreciation for good posture, coordination and the power of mindful movement.
This early foundation led her to Pilates and in 2016, she became a certified Instructor with the Australian Pilates Method.
Tanja believes that physical strength and mental resilience go hand in hand and she creates a welcoming space for clients to explore this connection through Pilates movement.
Tanja excels at tailoring each session to the unique needs of her clients. With a keen eye for detail and a focus on safe, effective cueing, she helps her clients move better, feel stronger and progress with purpose on their Pilates journey.

Brooke Moody
Brooke’s love of movement began early, shaped by years of artistic gymnastics, dance and athletics. This foundation sparked a lifelong curiosity about the body and its potential, leading her to explore movement in all its capabilities.
Pilates played a vital role during her dance career, supporting injury prevention and maintaining performance longevity. After years on stage, Brooke felt inspired to transition into teaching. She moved to Sydney from New Zealand and completed her Instructor certification with Polestar Pilates in 2024, motivated by the skilled Polestar Instructors she had worked alongside in New Zealand.
Brooke shares her passion for Pilates with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. She hopes her own movement journey will inspire clients to discover the joy, strength and lasting benefits that come from consistent Pilates practice, both in the studio and in everyday life.

Georgie Simpson
Georgie was introduced to Pilates in 2004 as part of her water polo training program and quickly experienced its benefits in injury rehabilitation and athletic conditioning. With a passion for movement, Georgie went on to study a Bachelor of Sport Science and began deepening her Pilates practice, exploring its application at the elite athletic level while living in South Africa. During this time she coached swimming and netball, integrating Pilates into her team training sessions with great success.
Her love for holistic movement led her to complete a Thai Yoga Bodywork certification in India and a Holistic Massage qualification in South Africa. In 2019, Georgie formalised her Pilates Instructor training, certifying with Polestar Pilates.
Georgie is a warm and empathetic instructor who finds joy in helping clients connect with their bodies through mindful movement. She tailors each session to suit individual needs and believes that Pilates truly has something to offer everyone, regardless of age, ability, or experience.

Olivia Stanley
Olivia brings a fun, technical approach to Pilates, shaped by her background as a professional dancer. With a keen eye for detail and a strong focus on correct technique, her teaching is dynamic, supportive and mindful.
Olivia discovered Pilates while dancing in London and was drawn to its ability to build strength and prevent injury. This passion led her to complete her STOTT Mat training in 2017 and Polestar Studio certification in 2020.
Originally from the UK, Olivia ran a rehabilitation-focused Pilates studio in Bristol for seven years and taught group classes across the city.
Olivia enjoys working with clients of all levels, creating varied sessions that build strength, reduce pain and deepen body awareness. She loves exploring new movement patterns with her clients, because for Olivia, Pilates isn’t just about fixing a problem, it’s about building a lifelong practice that supports a healthy body and mind.
