Polestar Teaching Practice

Are you currently training to be an instructor with Polestar Pilates?  We can help you complete your hours, the studio has 3 Polestar Mentors and most of the instructors are Polestar trained. Virtual private sessions are also available for Teaching/Demo sign-off, please email your request.

Teaching Practice

Aimed at the Polestar student to practice their teaching skills alongside mentors. All workshops count toward the apprentice teaching hours in your logbook and also can be used for exercise demo and teaching sign-off. Students from all Polestar courses are able to join the teaching session. Sessions are 3 hours in the logbook and a minimum of 3 students. If you would like another time please organise a minimum of 3 students and email the studio with your preference of day & time.

Self Mastery

Book in for privates/duets to work on self-mastery under the guidance of a fully qualified studio instructor. If you book with Mentors (Carrie, Shira and Pamela) you can achieve demo sign-off. Teaching sign-offs must be in a designated teaching session as above or as a private.

Observation

  • All observations requests must be emailed

  • Bookings available 1 week before

  • Observations are free to students if you have an active class pack

  • Max of 3 hours per day per student

  • Only one student in the studio at any time

  • Students to remain on the benches

  • Students are to remain quiet and ask no questions

  • Students are not to detain the instructor after the session

  • If you have any questions please email the studio afterwards 

  • No use of equipment during observation hours

  • No phone use during observation hours

  • Note-taking is allowed and encouraged

  • No photos or videos to be taken with prior consent

  • No posting to social media

  • Dress respectively in relation to a studio environment
