Following the Pilates Principles, GROUP CLASSES will utilise the Reformer, Tower or Mat. The Pilates Arc and various small props can also be included. Each class will address the whole body including core strength, flexibility, balance and posture. You will finish the class feeling taller, longer and stronger. Studio sessions are personalised to your goals, in group classes you all do the same exercises with modifications available according to your body.

Individual attention is our strength at the Nook and with a maximum of 6 clients in Group Classes you get the best instruction with highly experienced and qualified instructors.

If you have never used Pilates equipment before or are new to Pilates it is recommended to have some studio private/duet sessions first.

Group classes are not suitable for 3rd Trimester pregnancy and anyone in pain or with acute injuries/pathologies. Personalised Studio sessions would be best for you and please contact us if you have any questions.


What Class to do?

ESSENTIALS - Fundamental Pilates exercises to find connections to build awareness. A slower tempo to assist learning new movement or to enhance the mind & body connection. You are never too advanced to stop doing the basics. Advisable to do 5 Essential classes before the Flow Class.

FLOW - Pilates principles with whole-body movement including core strength, spinal flexibility and improved posture. Following on from the fundamentals, the tempo starts to increase with options to target all levels.

ADVANCED - Advanced Pilates repertoire at an increased flow and may use the Jumpboard. Strictly for advanced movers with good awareness, strength, and flexibility. Check with your instructor if you are ready for this class, you need to be injury and pain-free to attend this class.

RESTORATIVE - Find freedom of movement in your spine and joints as we flex, extend, spiral and stretch our way through a gentle sequence which will leave you feeling nourished and relaxed. Including breath-work practice for improved mind-body connection, this class will help you find ease of movement in all your daily activities.


What to wear?

Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move and be aware of loose clothing. Skins (bicycle shorts) under your shorts are a great idea. Please do not wear jewellery or clothing with zips as this damages the surface of the equipment.

We require everyone to wear clean grip socks for hygiene and please bring a towel if you need. ie sweat a lot.
